Maybe the part 2 next week will mention intermittent fasting especially for cell repair regeneration and cell death cleanup (autophagy). I fast M-F with warn lemon water and black coffee until noon. I’ve had high cortisol levels after death of my spouse, so maybe a protein shake if my HRV are stagnant. It’s definitely one of the many great tools for longevity and anti-aging.
Thank you for mentioning that -- intermittent fasting is a fantastic anti-aging concept. I may speak to it directly in a future post. What you are doing sounds great; I am a fan of 16/8 concept, which I find doable for most people.
These results are relative in their 90% increased risk . The absolute risk results show that 95.4% of the people taking melatonin did not get CHF and 97.3% of the patients not taking melatonin did not get CHF. Wouldn't that be a 1.9% increased risk and not 90%.
I read the results of an observational study performed at a NYC hospital on insomniacs and those that took melatonin supplementation . They reviewed the charts of those who had a dx. of insomnia and their conclusion was , the patients who were prescribed melatonin supplements had an increase risk (I believe it was 91% increased risk) of getting congestive heart failure.
Could you please find this observational study and make some sense of it to your subscribers. There is nothing more disturbing than to be taking something to improve your health, and sabotage it at the same time.
Also, is it true that melatonin supplementation with automatically turn off melatonin production from the pineal gland, and if so, does that really matter if one is over 70 and not producing much melatonin anyway.
